Samurai Bar Tape

Members of the Sanada family, a famous japanese Ninja and Samurai family developed this unique weaving technique and gave the fabric it`s name. The Sanada family used the tape to wrap the handles of their swords, providing more grip and better control of the Katana in the heat of the action.

Many others followed their example and soon the Sanada Himo tape was used by most Samurais throughout the country. The tape is made of 100% cotton, it is extremly strong, durable and weather resistant.
